Hermès Air France Assualt

Mathias Guerrand-Hermès the heir to the Hermès fortune was in a bizarre altercation on Tuesday where he assaulted a pilot on an Air France flight from NY to Paris at JFK airport. Check out the story:  

"According to a federal criminal complaint filed yesterday, Guerrand-Hermès became unruly about halfway through the flight when he began sitting on the armrest of another passenger in the first-class section. The female passenger woke up her husband, who then asked Guerrand-Hermès to move, investigators said.

Rather than comply with the passenger's wishes, Guerrand-Hermès "moved toward the couple," at which point the flight crew was notified of the disturbance, according to the complaint.

Things escalated when Guerrand-Hermès refused requests by the crew to take his seat and then grabbed the crotch of the pilot, who had come back into the cabin to offer him another seat, according to the complaint.

"I'm not going to behave," Guerrand-Hermès told the captain, who with the help of three flight attendants was able to restrain Guerrand-Hermès with handcuffs and shackles, the complaint said.

After a brief appearance before Magistrate-Judge Lois Bloom, Guerrand-Hermès was freed on a $50,000 bond and given back his belt and the laces to his sneakers, items normally taken during an arrest. Guerrand-Hermès appeared to have a cut below his lip and his blue long-sleeved shirt was torn." Newsday.com

He faces 20 years in jail for this assualt. And I thought nothing could be worse than their S/S 09 collection.
