Today's fashion icon is British-born Isabella Blow. Blow, the stylist and fashion editor that is credited with discovering Alexander McQueen, and model Sophie Dahl. She was also the muse to hat designer Phillip Treacy (a lot of his work is in the collage above). A former assistant to both Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley at Vogue, she eventually became the fashion director of Tatler. Career aside, her style was outrageous! Her extravagant hats were her trademark as well as her wild ensembles. Like this one:
After leading a fashionable life that many dream of, she sadly committed suicide in May 2007. I would like to take this time to Thank you Isabella Blow for discovering McQueen and pushing the fashion envelope!
