Images courtesy of: freshnessmag.com & sneakernews.com

The fab Jeremy Scott has signed a multi-line deal with adidas and I'm loving the new collection set to launch Feb. 1st 2009.

Santa can you come late this year?...say Feb 1st 2009?...I've been a really good girl, I've been working hard and been kind to my fellow man.  I think I deserve the whole collection. Thanks Santa!

Until then, I can't wait for this to launch!

"Locked-Out" Screening & Kevin Powell

So last night I was at Habana Outpost meeting my talented singer-friend Akua Taylor.

Randomly there was a screening at the lounge they added downstairs called "The Low Post." Its cute its got a grimey subway station feel to it. Anyways, they were screening this documentary "Locked-Out: Ex-Cons and the Vote". The film was intro'd by Kevin Powell (original "Real World" cast member, dope author and activist...running for congress again in 2010, just google him if you don't know). He gave a great speech about the importance of everyone knowing about all the candidates, not just the democrats and republicans, green party and independents as well. The documentary was very informative, there's only 1 more day to register and if you are an ex-con or know anyone who is do research. In the state of New York ex-cons CAN vote once they have finished parole and probationary periods! Find out your rights tonight! If you haven't been able to catch the documentary on BET here's the trailer and a New York Times article about ex-cons voting rights being restored.

States Restore Voting Rights for Ex-Convicts

Afterwards I was a total nerd and told Kevin Powell how I remembered him on the "Real World" and how he always had a book with him and I thought he was soooooo smart...I'm such a loser :). Oh yeah and I took a picture in the bathroom of The Low Post:

And of Louis Vuitton Ron LMAO he thinks he's fresh to def!

That's all she wrote people. I'm working in the am on a Vh1 station ID shoot I'll have some production pics up tomorrow. And my girl Lois Eastlund is opening a store so I'm there too.

Until then, know your rights people!

Fashion Week Day 5: Thom Browne & Argyle Culture After Party

Time for another episode folks! And this time I bring you...MEN in TUTUS! The Thom Browne S/S 09 Show was all about men in tutus and jumpers. I personally loved it, can men please have more options then the shirt, tie and suit combo. Also plaids were going strong this season in his collection and the theme was tennis complete with real grass as the runway. Check out my backstage shots:

Next I stopped by Highbar for Russell Simmons Argyle Culture after party. Check out the shots I got of some fly party goers:

Orange a new color trend?

Life Walks a phenomenal dj and my bro

Fashion Week Day 4: Telfar & Luca Luca

Hello friends! I had the pleasure of working again with my friend Telfar backstage on his S/S 09 show titled Breathe. Telfar designs androgynous clothing and every season he out does himself. The S/S 09 collection was inspired by the Olympics and took place at the St. Patrick's Gym on Mulberry St. The collection consisted of a lot of breathable mesh fabrics and customized Converse Jack Percell sneakers. The runway was made of turf! Just check this season's collection out for yourself:

Yes the tennis balls are the heels on this customized sneaker

P.S. Telfar and I were homecoming dates back in the days when I had a relaxer:

Next I went to work backstage at Luca Luca's S/S 09 Show in the Promenade tent. They took all of the dressers passes for the celebrities and such that were backstage. But I got a t-shirt:

Oh yeah and backstage was pandemonium! The photographers and camera men were so aggressive they literally almost knocked over the racks (and me) trying to photograph Serena Williams and Perrey Reeves (HBOs Entourage). The collection was beautiful lots of silk and organza fabrics, gowns with beautiful cut-out details, sheer blouses, silk jumpers, trousers and skirts with waistlines that had a stair-step effect. the color palette was soft and feminine, white, tan, grey with touches of coral and blue. I loved the collection and didn't see a piece that I wouldn't wear. Later today I will be working on Thom Browne. So ecstatic to be working on Thom Browne but it will be a challenge tying perfect half-windsor knots LOL.

Fashion Week Day 3: Facehunter, Urban Arts Market & Harriet's Alter Ego

To quote Ice Cube, "Today was a good day." LOL but seriously it was. I went to the city today in hopes of checking the BK Royalty fashion show at the Bryant Park Hotel but for some reason it wasn't there (?). I mean the hotel was there not the fashion show. I didn't sweat it though because it gave me an excuse to hang out by the tents and shoot the cool election inspired graphics.

So I'm about to leave when a guy comes up to me and asks if he can shoot me. "Okay." "It's for facehunter, for the New York Times." "OKAY!" I was shot today by Yvan the legendary Facehunter from London. The pic will be up tomorrow and you know I'm gonna post it up here! After my intense shoot with Yvan (yes there's a reason why all his pics come out perfect). I run into the fashion giant Andre Leon Tally and muster "Hey Mr. Tally!" I am such a nerd, bumbling, couldn't even get my camera out to get a quick picture. Then I am stopped again by a photographer from Vogue.fr to take pics. I felt pretty accomplished by this time so I decided to head back to Brooklyn to partake in some events I planned on attending.

Next I stopped by Harriet's Alter Ego on Flatbush Ave and 7th in Brooklyn.

I checked out Rico Harris of Orignial RAH. He's a textile designer who does a lot of Batik hand dyed originals. Check him and his work out:

Check out the fashionable offspring of Harriet's Alter Ego...they got me for my necklaces LOL.

Then I slid over to the Urban Arts Market on Myrtle Ave and Grand Ave. Sounds were by the Soul Summit Djs and vendors were some of BK's Finest. I ran into my boy Ekene, a dope digital designer doing his thing in Europe.

Randomly saw Ta$isSoArnold

Hadn't seen him since I met him at Magic '06

Got some good accessory flicks

Then I went BACK to Harriet's for the Stylized Sundays event, hosted by StuffFlyPeopleLike.com and Omo Writes.

Sounds by the Ahficionados.

Akeema one of the designers/ co-owner of Harriet's Alter Ego

He's simply awesome

A visual merchandiser at heart I just love creative display ideas

Who you calling a blogger? Myself, the guys from StuffFlyPeopleLike.com and Samantha aka Omo Writes

I can't complain this was one great day. I made some new connects, reconnected with people, laughed, danced, got some good press and ended my night with a quesadilla and some guac. Life is good.

P.S. I promise I will rotate the pics later I am so tired and my photobucket account is being annoying, please bear with me.
